Accies Trust statement

At the Accies Trust AGM on 16th January 2012, the Trust board decided to put the Trust into abeyance until further notice.

The Trust board will continue to operate the Trust to meet its statutory requirements.

The decision has been taken due to the poor attendance at the AGM and lack of any significant progress or actives in the past year.

The Trust is open to all Accies fans and the Trust Board will assist any supporter or group of supporters who have any initiatives they wish to pursue with the aid of the Trust Board and/or membership.

The only prerequisite is that the supporters proposing the initiative must be willing to contribute their own time and effort to ensure the completion of the initiative.

We have previous held successful meetings with club officials, a referee, and the curator at the Hampden Museum.

We also held a quiz night as well assisting with publication and launch of the book, “Hamilton Accies 25 Year Rollercoaster”.

In addition the Trust has been successful in meeting with supporter organisations and the SPL, where our views were taken into account, in the decision making process regarding the future of the game in Scotland.

The current Accies Trust Board has taken the trust as far as we feel it is possible to, under the current economic climate and environment we are working within.

The future of the Accies Trust is in the hands of all Accies fans; if anybody wants to get involved and take on responsibility for driving the Trust forward then please do contact us.
